2020 RAM 1500 vs 2019 RAM 1500

Serving Dickson, TN

For more than four decades, the RAM 1500 has been impressing local drivers with its muscular styling and robust performance capabilities. In 2019, this full-size truck model introduced its fifth generation. At that time, the truck's features, style, and abilities were bolstered. While the 2020 RAM 1500 is only a year off of this major overhaul, a few improvements have been made to it as well. Our associates at Steve Jones CDJRF are ready to show off the differences between the 2019 and 2020 RAM 1500 across the trim lineup.

Performance

Three of the powertrains for the 2019 RAM 1500 carry up to the current model year's trims. One of these is a 5.7-liter, HEMI V8 engine that generates 395 horsepower. This same design is combined with eTorque technology in another engine option to elevate towing capabilities. The third powertrain that is found in both model years is a 3.6-liter, Pentastar V6 engine with eTorque, and it produces 305 horsepower. For 2020, the EcoDiesel 3.0-liter is reintroduced, and it has a 260-horsepower rating. The RAM 1500 also has a high-strength steel frame, an electronic rear differential, an active air dam, an active-level air suspension system, and other advanced performance-boosting features.

Appearance

The 2019 RAM 1500 trims each have a few differentiating characteristics, such as the unique grille and wheel designs. Each trim's style is unchanged for the 2020 RAM 1500. However, the 2020 model year introduces the Black Edition and the Night Edition. These two options have individualized elements that both have dark accents for a dramatic effect. Regardless of the 2019 and 2020 RAM 1500 trim that you opt for, your truck will have four doors for functionality as well as muscular haunches and a sculpted hood.

Features

For 2020, only a few minor adjustments in standard and optional features have been made to select trims. Regardless of the trim that you prefer, you will love how well-appointed it is with thoughtful comfort features and exciting technologies. Some of the RAM 1500's equipment could include a multi-functional tailgate, a UConnect system with a 12-inch display screen in full color, a RAM CargoBox storage system, a navigation system, SiriusXM technologies, Bluetooth hands-free calling, smartphone integration, heat for the steering wheel and front seats, active noise cancellation, a digital cockpit display with enhanced graphics, power ports, USB charging ports, up to 19 speakers for the premium Harman Kardon sound system, leather seating, reclining seats in the rear row, a powered panoramic sunroof and other equipment.
