Serving Dickson, TN

With so many options on display at Steve Jones CDJRF for you to choose from, you understandably need to spend time comparing the options that are at the top of your list. The Grand Cherokee has been the flagship model in the Jeep line for years, and its sophisticated yet rugged qualities may have captured your attention recently. Going into the new model year, the Grand Cherokee L joins the model lineup. The Grand Cherokee L stands apart from the Grand Cherokee because of its size and its third row of seats in the back of the cabin. Are there other differences that you need to check out before making your next SUV purchase?

Performance

Both of these models come with a Pentastar V6, 3.6-liter engine as standard equipment. This is the standard engine across the trim line for the Grand Cherokee, and it delivers 290 horsepower. This engine is only standard for the Grand Cherokee L’s lower trim levels. Because of the Grand Cherokee’s increased weight, the V6 engine delivers 285 horsepower behind the wheel. The Grand Cherokee L is also offered with a 5.7-liter V8 engine. It can tow up to 7,200 pounds and has a 357-horsepower engine.

Appearance

You will find Jeep-family body language across both of these models, but the Grand Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee L are easy to tell apart on the road. The Grand Cherokee L has prominent dimensions, and its rear extends farther outward to accommodate the third row of seats in the cabin. It has a flatter nose than the Grand Cherokee has. This trend continues through the Grand Cherokee L’s hood and the horizontal taillights, headlights, and foglamps. In addition, the sides have prominent personality lines. On the other hand, the Grand Cherokee is a sizable vehicle, and its dimensions are brought to life by rugged curvature and contouring. Both vehicles have LED lights, raised roof rails, a hands-free liftgate, and other essentials.

Features

The seating capacity is not the only difference that you will find when you peek inside the cabins of these vehicles. Both models have leather material, smart device integration, a navigation system, and more. However, the Grand Cherokee L adds a 10.25-inch digital screen in the instrumentation cluster and a 10-inch display screen in the center stack.

Do you want to get more familiar with these impressive vehicles? Stop by Steve Jones CDJRF soon to check out these models in person and to take a few SUVs from our inventory out for a test drive.
