The RAM 1500 Classic is a powerful pickup truck that is ideal for all of your strenuous activities. At the start of the line for 2021, the RAM 1500 Classic Tradesman and the RAM 1500 Classic Express are both work trucks designed to meet all of your needs for work and play. While these two models have many similarities, there are a few differences that you need to be aware of before making your next truck purchase.

Performance

The standard engine on the RAM 1500 Classic Tradesman is a 3.6-liter V6 gas engine that generates 305 horsepower. The Tradesman is also available with a 240-horsepower, V6, 3.0-liter diesel engine. Notably, only the gas-powered V6 engine is offered for the Tradesman. In both trim levels, you can appreciate the difference that an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive make to your time on the road. Four-wheel drive is available in both trim levels as an alternative.

Appearance

The RAM 1500 Classic Tradesman and the 1500 Classic Express have similar styles from front to rear. This includes a four-door design, a similar grille, and sculpted sides. They also come with LED lighting and a muscular hood. The Tradesman has standout features like a bed liner and a hitch as standard equipment, and these are only offered as options in the Express. The Tradesman also has 20-inch wheels and body-colored trim throughout.

Features

Inside the cabins, the Tradesman and the Express are almost identical. They both have seating for five adults, a sound system, a climate management system, and high-end cloth seats. The most notable difference inside their cabs is the addition of carpeting on the floor of the Express.
